Subject list I: Branches of study for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering

As noted in the introduction to the `Outline of undergraduate studies', subject to university approval, the faculty intends to replace the degree programs previously offered at Caulfield, Clayton and Gippsland with a single Bachelor of Engineering degree to be offered in a variety of streams across three campuses. The first level of the new degree, common to all streams of engineering, commences in 1998 as outlined below in this handbook. Again, subject to approval, the second level of the new degree will be introduced in 1999. All students admitted to candidature for a Bachelor of Engineering degree in 1998 will automatically be transferred to streams of the new degree at the end of that year.
