Objectives The student is expected to acquire a basic knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of electrical engineering

Synopsis Field concepts and fundamental laws. Circuit sources and components. Magnetic circuits. Circuit analysis. Periodic functions. AC theory, phasors, impedance and admittance.

Assessment Examination (3 hours): 70%
* Laboratory work, assignments and class tests: 30%
