Objectives The student is expected to acquire the skills and experience necessary to coordinate a complex design project.

Synopsis Lecture topics to support a major design project involving a complex engineering system. These include lectures on the design of pressure vessels, design for assembly and manufacture and an introduction to mechatronics.

Assessment Written: 40%
* Examination (3 hours): 60%
