Objectives The student is expected to acquire skills and practical experience in undertaking and managing a project similar to that typically required by industry.

Synopsis A nominal four hours per week to undertake an investigation into an engineering problem either industry based or with possible application in industry. The investigation may be supported by laboratory work, computer programming, field studies or literature search as appropriate. Students may work singly or in groups depending on the complexity and size of the project undertaken.

Assessment Based on continued monitoring, a report and an oral presentation: 100%
