Objectives The student is expected to acquire further knowledge and understanding of small-signal representation of non-linear electronic circuits, negative feedback and its practical importance.

Synopsis Application of the hybrid-pi model to multi transistor circuits. Wide band amplifier configurations and approximate analysis. Operational amplifier properties, design and usage. The use of feedback in wide band amplifiers and the benefits expected. Introduction to CAD of transistor amplifiers.

Assessment Examination (3 hours): 60%
* Practical work and laboratory work: 40%
