Bachelor of Sport and Outdoor Recreation

The Bachelor of Sport and Outdoor Recreation offers an interdisciplinary program which focuses specifically on the employment and training needs of those employed in the expanding sport and outdoor recreation industries. The course offers sequences of units for students in areas such as business/ management, tourism, environmental science and sports science. Opportunities also exist for further study.

Admission requirements

Applicants must have satisfactorily completed the VCE or its equivalent, including two units of mathematics (any), and have achieved a study score of at least 25 in units 3 and 4 English (any) and a study score of at least 20 in three other VCE studies.

Course structure

To receive the award of Bachelor of Sport and Outdoor Recreation, a candidate must successfully complete units totalling 144 points.

* BSOR electives: EDF3601 (Learning technologies in sport and outdoor recreation), EDF3603 (Wilderness expedition), EDF3604 (Camp planning and practices), EDF3608 (Sport education), EDF3609 (Experiencing the Australian landscape), EDF3610 (Research/project in sport and outdoor recreation), EDF3611 (Advanced outdoor recreation practice), EDF4161 (Sports injury Prevention), ASC3736 (Nutrition, fitness and conditioning).
