EDF3608Sport Education (6 points)(EDU) Leader: Lecturer in Charge: TBA
Offered: Synopsis: The unit will examine the physiological and psychological developmental stages relevant to the various ages that participate in Sport and the Sport Education Program, the application of principles that underpin the model of instruction, physiological and psychological readiness of Sport participants, appropriate sequencing of instruction and skill development, the ethics and appropriate codes of conduct relating to the culture of Sport and the issues that impact on the long term involvement in sport. Students will examine and review the theoretical bases of SEPEP including its intellectual and pedagogical foundations. Assessment: Two assignments (1500 words each): 60% + Journal (3000 words): 40% + Practical hurdle requirement Contact Hours: 2 hours per week Prerequisites: EDF2602 or equivalent |
