Course description

The Bachelor of Innovation and Enterprise provides professional education in a range of areas including leadership, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation.

Course structure

Areas of study

Students must complete a major specialisation from the faculties of Business and Economics, Faculty of Arts, or Faculty of Information Technology. Other studies include a second major specialisation from the list of study areas detailed below. The course also includes an innovation and enterprise project to be undertaken in the third year of study.

Elective units must be taken from those offered at the Berwick campus.

Course requirements

The degree requirements are:

(a) completion of 16 units (96 points) as follows:

(i) two majors which together form an approved combination for the course, or

(ii) one major and two sub-majors which together form an approved combination for the course.

The approved combinations ensure that (i) if two majors are chosen they are from different faculties and (ii) if one major and two sub-majors are chosen, each will be from a different faculty.

A student cannot undertake a combination of majors and/or sub-majors unless that combination is approved by the course director.

(b) completion of an innovation and enterprise project consisting of two units (12 points) at third-year-level. Each of the Faculties on the Berwick campus will offer an innovation project unit.

(c) completion of six electives units (36 points) chosen from the three Faculties on the Berwick campus.

(d) a total of 24 units (144 credit points) over a maximum of 10 years of study.

(e) a maximum of 10 first-year-level units (60 credit points).

(f) a minimum of six units (36 credit points) at third-year level.
