Special entry provisions enable admission of candidates without formal tertiary qualifications who have extensive relevant professional experience in practice.

Course structure

To qualify with the graduate diploma, students complete 48 points of graduate units. The units are to be selected from the graduate units of the School of Information Management and Systems, however up to 12 points may be taken from outside the School of Information Management and Systems, subject to approval by the director of graduate studies.
Certain units require background knowledge specific to particular specialisations, and admission to these units will need the approval of the unit coordinator. Students without appropriate background knowledge will be required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate foundation units, eg IMS9001, IMS9003 or IMS9049, before proceeding to other graduate units (these units all have codes with the pattern IMS5xxx).
