Enterprise resource planning systems (6 points)

Synopsis: Provides students with an understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and their use within the business environment. Concentrates on issues, problems and strategies concerning the development, implementation and management of ERP systems. Includes approaches to selecting, tailoring and implementing ERP systems, their infrastructure and technology architecture requirements, their use within organisations, and the strategic opportunites they offer.

Assessment: Assignments: 50% + Formal Supervised Assessment: 50%

Contact Hours: 2 hours per week

Prerequisites: IMS9001, IMS9003
