Knowledge management principles (6 points)

Synopsis: This subject aims to present a coherent view of knowledge and knowledge management from multidisciplinary perspectives. Students should gain an appreciation of the sources of unstructured and semi-structured knowledge in the organisation and should be aware of current techniques, which will permit this knowledge to be applied within the organisation. Students will have an opportunity to learn about current views on knowledge management from the organisational and technological perspectives. They will study different views and definitions of knowledge management and explore the reasons for these differences.

Assessment: Assignments: 50% + Formal Supervised Assessment: 50%

Contact Hours: 2 hours per week
