Synopsis: A special topic in information systems, information management, librarianship, recordkeeping or electronic publishing.

Assessment: Research paper or review (6000-10,000 words) and project or equivalent: 100%

Contact Hours: There is an expectation that students will meet weekly with their supervisors (or OCL equivalent) for approximately 30 minutes to set goals and report an achievements and difficulties. Students are expected to spend approximately 12 hours per week for 13 weeks on research and related activities, dividing their time between self-initiated work and meetings with supervisors (or OCL equivalent).

Prerequisites: Entry to this unit subject to approval of Head of School, or nominee 24 credit points of IMS 9000-level units, or equivalent; or 24 credit points of graduate level units in the Master of Information Technology or the Master of Business Systems, or equivalent; or an approved undergraduate degree in information systems (IS) or information management (IM) or equivalent
