Synopsis: How to assess and manage recordkeeping processes supporting the storage, recall and dissemination of records while protecting their evidential and informational qualities. System requirements for document management, records management and the management of archives. Storage of records through time, knowledge bases representing functions and activities, managing access according to organisational or societal rules, and modern methods of disseminating records, including internets and intranets. Custody and ownership of records in changed circumstances, including outsourcing of activities and the effect of electronic recordkeeping processes on notions of physical possession.

Assessment: Assignments: 50% + Formal Supervised Assessment: 50%
