Synopsis: A conceptual base for practice in the recordkeeping professions. Issues include the nature of records and recordkeeping, the environments in which recordkeeping occurs, perspectives through time, recordkeeping systems and their role, and aspects of the storage, recall and dissemination of records.

Assessment: Assignments: 50% + Formal Supervised Assessment: 50%

Contact Hours: 3 hours per week

Prerequisites: IMS9049 or equivalent
