| Note
that at the completion of the first semester of level four, the mechanical
engineering component of the double degree is divided into the following seven
streams: 1 Fluids; 2 Energy; 3 Solids; 4 Design; 5 Mechatronics; 6
Manufacturing systems; 7 General. This streaming continues to the completion of
the degree. Students may select any of the seven streams, but only the Design
stream will be timetabled to accommodate the subjects in the double degree
program. If another stream is selected, it will be the responsibility of the
student to accommodate any consequent timetable clashes.

should note that prerequisites for these subjects will consist of a combination
of engineering and design subjects. Please contact your course adviser for
further details before completing your enrolment in design subjects.
