Course description

This course is designed for graduates who wish to increase their knowledge and skills associated with understanding and applying management and business theory and practice in general, and specifically in relation to managing business organisations locally, regionally, internationally and globally. Students will develop an advanced and mature level of attributes in the area of written and oral communication, enquiry, information literacy, self-direction, teamwork, global outlook, moral and social responsibility and creativity.

Entry requirements

Applicants need to have completed:

  • a pass degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution, or
  • an executive certificate from this faculty with an average of credit or above.

Advanced standing

Candidates may be eligible for advanced standing for a maximum of six units considered to be equivalent to particular requirements in the course of study. Advanced standing is restricted to study completed in the last five years. The program coordinator assesses advanced standing.

  • MGX9720 Managing change
  • MKF5290 Competitive analysis: strategy and issues
  • Or graduate-level units taught by the Department of Management, other departments in the Faculty of Business and Economics, or other faculties of Monash University, with approval from the program coordinator

A minimum of four 5000-level units must be studied.
