Synopsis: Introduction to the field of human resource management. Topics include the strategic role of human resource management, the contribution of HRM to competitive advantage, job design, staffing, performance management, strategic compensation and reward systems, developing employee capabilities and assessment of HRM strategies and practices.
Assessment: On campus: Individual assignment (1500 words): 20% + Group presentation and report (1500 words): 30% + Individual assignment (3000 words): 50%. OCL: Assignment (1500 words): 20% + Assignment (3000 words): 30% + Assignment (3000 words): 50%.
