Master of Business Management

The course is designed for graduates who wish gain an in-depth
understanding of general business management principles and their application
locally and globally. Students will increase their knowledge and understanding
of contemporary organisational issues in local and global business management
and develop skills in applying management and business theory and practice.
They will also develop an advanced and mature level of attributes in the area
of written and oral communication, analytical enquiry, information literacy,
self-direction, teamwork, global outlook, moral and social responsibility and
creativity.
Applicants need to have completed:
- a pass degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary
institution, or
- an executive certificate from this faculty with an average of credit or
above.
Candidates may be eligible for advanced standing for a maximum of
six units considered to be equivalent to particular requirements in the course
of study. Advanced standing is restricted to study completed in the last five
years. The program coordinator assesses advanced standing.

- any 5000-level or 9000-level units taught by the Department of Management,
other departments in the Faculty of Business and Economics or other faculties
of Monash University, subject to program coordinator approval.
A minimum of four 5000-level units must be studied.
