Synopsis: Introduction to the recent literature of strategic management. Issues include strategy and the environment; business and corporate level strategy; strategic quality and change; structure and culture; evaluation and control; leadership and change management; ethics; and global strategies. Strategic management models and tools, traditional and computerised, for gathering and interpreting key organisational and environmental data to propose and justify alternative courses of strategic action.

Assessment: Individual assignment (2500 words): 30% + Individual assignment (2500 words): 30% + Individual assignment (4500 words): 40%
