Synopsis: Topics include introduction to the common law and legislation which controls the management of staff; instruction in the law affecting pre-contractual considerations for employment contracts, anti-discrimination law, selection, recruitment and termination of staff; workplace health and safety; industrial relations commissions and other legal fora, union relationships, industrial action; tortious liability of management; suspension and stand down.
