The Bachelor of Business and Commerce is the link between the overseas offerings of the faculty and the on-shore program taught across the Berwick, Gippsland and Peninsula campuses. The course is designed to provide maximum flexibility and to allow depth and breadth in the study of the major business and commerce discipline areas. Its structure provides the capacity to tailor applications and focus in different contexts and different environments while ensuring knowledge of the theory, principles and core elements in the relevant discipline areas.
Students must complete a major in one of the following
disciplines taught by the faculty: accounting, electronic business systems,
human resource management, international business, management or marketing.
Other studies may be drawn from any of the disciplines taught on the Peninsula
campus by the Faculty of Business and Economics. These other studies can form a
professional specialisation in one of the following areas: professional
accounting, accounting for managers, business law, financial management, human
resources, information technology, international management, psychology in
business, and language studies. They can also, in some cases, form a second
major in a business discipline.
Up to six open electives may also be taken from other campuses or other Monash
faculties.
