A combined course for the Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Commerce degrees enables students to take out both degrees after four years of full-time study. Students complete 204 points of study in core music and commerce components.
For the music component, students must complete 96 music points (studies
offered by the School of Music - Conservatorium in the Faculty of Arts)
including a performance major (54 points), compulsory units MUS1100, MUS1110
and MUS3390 (18 points), 12 points of second-year-level electives, and 12
points of third-year-level electives.
For their performance major, students complete MUS1980, MUS1990, MUS2980,
MUS2990, MUS3580, MUS3610, MUS3620, MUS3980 and MUS3990.
Second-year-level electives are chosen from MUS2020, MUS2030, MUS2110, MUS2120,
MUS2140 and MUS2660.
Third-year-level electives are chosen from MUS3310, MUS3330, MUS3490, MUS3660,
MUS3830, MUS3860, MUS3880 and MUS3910.
Note that students cannot graduate from the Bachelor of Music until they have
satisfied the above requirements and successfully completed studies to the
value of 144 points. Students undertaking the above double degree program are
permitted to count up to 48 points of commerce towards those 144 points.
