Music Composition and Technology Workshop I (6 points)

Synopsis:

Objectives: Upon successful completion of this unit, students should have a practical and theoretical knowledge of a range of techniques used in music composition as well as practical experience in composing music. This includes an understanding of methods and techniques in the use of electronic technology in addition to other compositional approaches.

Assessment: Folio (equivalent 2500 words): 60% + Assignments and group work (equivalent 2000 words): 40%

Contact Hours: 2 hours (1 x 2 hour lecture) per week

Prerequisites: MUS1100, MUS1110
