Chief Practical Study IV (6 points)

Synopsis:

Objectives: By the end of the semester, students will have gained an increased understanding of research-based performance and further consolidated the basics of pitch, rhythm, sound production and style. Students will have studied a body of suitable repertoire drawn from a variety of styles.

Assessment: Participation in an approved ensemble or composition workshop as a hurdle requirement + Written (2400 words): 35% + Practical performance examination: 65%

Contact Hours: 2 hours (1 x 1 hour individual lesson and 1 x 1 hour tutorial) per week

Prerequisites: MUS2980
