The combined course is designed for full-time students seeking either a career
in law or in management. In addition to providing a core of law and business
foundation subjects the course provides specialist study in key areas.
The
Bachelor of Business (Management)/Bachelor of Laws provides:
- a thorough exposure to a wide range of disciplines to ensure that the
graduate achieves a comprehensive business and law education and develops a
broad perspective on business and law beyond his or her specialised area of
interest and responsibility;
- an education of direct relevance to careers in enterprise management and
corporate law;
- future management executives and company lawyers for general management
positions where they will be working within an increasingly competitive and
rapidly changing business climate.
Candidates
for this combined degree are required to meet the individual entry requirements
of both the Bachelor of Laws and the Bachelor of Business (Management).
Information
on credit for work done elsewhere will be available from the relevant faculty
administration office.
The
first three years of the course will be combined studies in business and law
and require students to study at the Caulfield and Clayton campuses. The
remaining two years will be undertaken at the Faculty of Law, Clayton campus.
