Bachelor of Business (Risk Management)


General information

The Bachelor of Business (Risk Management) is a three-year full-time course or a six-year part-time course offered at the Caulfield campus or by off-campus learning.

Entry requirements - Australian students

(a) Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)

Units 3 and 4 - a study score of at least 25 in English (any) and mathematics (any).

(b) Comparable qualifications

Applicants may also satisfy entry requirements on the basis of qualifications deemed to be the equivalent of the above VCE, eg TAFE qualifications (the first year of a TAFE associate diploma or a TAFE qualification that satisfies the first year of a TAFE associate diploma) or comparable Year 12 qualifications, including International Baccalaureate, or approved tertiary-level study completed in Victoria, other states of Australia or overseas.

(c) Special admission

Students who have not successfully completed VCE or equivalent may satisfy entry requirements by completing at least two Monash non-award single units or open learning (OLA) units. This course is open to mature- age applicants (23 years plus) who have passed the VCE or equivalent, including English, and have relevant work experience. Advanced standing (credit for work done elsewhere)

Applicants who have undertaken studies at tertiary level may apply for credit in equivalent units in the course. When applying, prospective candidates must provide full documentary evidence of prior tertiary studies, including a copy of academic records and unit synopses from the handbooks of the years in which the units were passed, to enable credits to be processed.

The maximum credit available within this course will be 16 units of the course of study.
A substitution of core units may be granted for units considered to be similar to particular requirements for the course of study, provided this falls within the maximum percentage allowed for credit exemptions within this course of study.
