Postgraduate Diploma in Human Factors and Ergonomics


General information

This postgraduate diploma aims to provide students with a comprehensive set of ergonomics competencies, which are intended to fulfil the educational requirements that are part of the criteria for certification as an ergonomist/human factors practitioner.
Entry will be open to graduates with relevant previous experience or who have obtained a previous tertiary qualification with a background in an appropriate discipline, eg art and design (industrial design), engineering (facilities planning and design; methods engineering), information technology (computer -- human interaction), medicine (preventive medicine), or science (psychology), or other backgrounds as approved by the coordinator.

Course structure

Students are required to complete seven units (48 points) over two years part-time. The following units are described in the 'Units -- all faculties' section of this handbook.
