This
postgraduate diploma aims to provide students with a comprehensive set of
ergonomics competencies, which are intended to fulfil the educational
requirements that are part of the criteria for certification as an
ergonomist/human factors practitioner.
Entry will be open to graduates with relevant previous experience or who have
obtained a previous tertiary qualification with a background in an appropriate
discipline, eg art and design (industrial design), engineering (facilities
planning and design; methods engineering), information technology (computer --
human interaction), medicine (preventive medicine), or science (psychology), or
other backgrounds as approved by the coordinator.
Students are required to complete seven units (48 points) over two years part-time. The following units are described in the 'Units -- all faculties' section of this handbook.
