Globalisation of business has generated increased competition and new
opportunities for Australian industry. Whether firms can match the competition
and take full advantage of the opportunities in foreign markets depends largely
on the skills of their management personnel. This distinctive, specialised
course has been designed to provide an in-depth understanding of current
practices and future developments in international business. It prepares
students for leadership roles in international and internationalising firms.
On completion of the course, students will:
Applicants require a pass degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution or an executive certificate offered by this faculty with an average grade of credit or above.
This is a fee-paying course. Candidates should consult the Department of Management as to the 1999 course fee. Course fees are set and reviewed annually and are therefore subject to change.
The Graduate Diploma in International Business is normally completed in two semesters of full-time study or four semesters of part-time study.
Classes are offered in evening, and/or Friday/Saturday teaching modes on-campus at Caulfield campus.
Candidates may be eligible for a maximum of four credit exemptions for subjects considered to be equivalent to particular subjects in the course of study. Please refer to the course director for further details.

Students who complete the Graduate Diploma in International Business with an average of credit or above may apply for admission to the Master of Management (International Business).
