Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students should be able to undertake a simple interior architecture project, involving the resolution, of user requirements, construction, structuring, servicing, aesthetics; communicate the design with presentation drawings and models as well as technical drawings and specifications; evaluate the effectiveness of the methodologies they are applying; explain the reasoning behind their choice of methodology, media, design options and solutions.

Synopsis This subject and IAR2104 are the key subjects for developing interior architecture practice capabilities. In this subject, the focus is on exposing students to problems which include all interior architectural factors and applying methodologies to coordinate their analysis and to achieve a holistically integrated design that addresses human needs. The projects are set in a variety of domestic and/or commercial contexts, involving simple structural and constructional requirements

and basic services issues.

Assessment Major design project: 90%
