Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students should understand the range of service issues involved in interiors; the effect of services on interior ambience and construction; the basic science of the range of service technologies.

Synopsis This subject involves the introduction of issues of interior climate, acoustics, power supply, water supply, waste removal, (hydraulics), lighting, escalators and lifts. The issues of energy efficiency and ecological soundness and the basic science of these issues are covered as case studies of their resolution in buildings.

Assessment Examination: 40%
