Discipline studies

Focus on the core areas of human movement and health. This specialisation enables students to qualify to teach a third school subject by including discipline studies in outdoor and environmental studies, biology with a focus on exercise physiology, business, mathematics or another approved discipline from other faculties.

Students complete a dual health and physical education discipline and another discipline of their choice.

Professional studies

Comprise professional experience and research units. Students engage in research, develop understanding of professional identity and leadership, and gain practical teaching experience by completing 80 days of professional experience in secondary schools. A further 20 days of fieldwork experience is required for students undertaking discipline studies in outdoor education and environmental studies.
