DescriptionDrawing on units from such disciplines as marketing, management, communications and public relations, the degree offers universal business skills with a distinct sporting focus. It combines this with a practical orientation stemming from a work placement unit in the actual sporting industry. ObjectivesThe Bachelor of Sports Promotion and Events Management is designed to provide students with a theoretical and practical understanding of the business of managing and promoting sporting events. StructureThis course consists of core units, a major, a minor, and additional elective studies. RequirementsStudents complete: (a.) the following compulsory core units (48 points):
(b.) a major in sports promotion or events management (48 points) (c.) a minor in arts or business (not from chosen major (24 points) (d.) a further 24 points of elective units at either first, second or third year level Students must complete a minimum of 36 points at third-year level (includes those completed in the major(s). No more than 10 units (60 points) at a first-year level. Sports promotion (arts) major
* Must complete for arts minor. ** Only avaliable in off-campus mode. Events management (business) major***
