This new degree is a joint initiative of the faculties of Pharmacy and Science and has been devised in response to the increased demand for graduates with expertise in this field. Course objectivesGraduates will have gained skills which will equip them for employment in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in research and technical support roles, and in other areas such as the polymer and plastics industry, forensics, chemistry and the fine chemical industry. The course also gives graduates an excellent basis for postgraduate studies. Course progression requirementsStudents must pass the examinations in all the units prescribed for study during the first year of the course before the faculty will admit them to the next year of the course, and likewise for each succeeding year.
