Course description

Course structure

Students enter this branch of engineering after completion of the common first year (refer to the entry for the Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Arts earlier in this section). It is recommended that students wishing to enter this branch of engineering complete ENG1020 in the first year.

Course requirements

Students require a total of 246 points including level one, of which not less than 150 points must be obtained from the engineering units listed below.

The arts component requires 96 points, consisting of a major (48 points), a minor (24 points), an additional first-year sequence (12 points) and a further 12 points of arts units.

This is a new course structure for students entering level 2 of the program from 2006 onwards. Students who entered level 2 of the program prior to 2006 should refer to the handbook for the year in which they commenced the course.
