Course description

The course offers students the opportunity to graduate with two separate degrees - a Bachelor of Business and Commerce degree and a Bachelor of Multimedia Systems degree.

Course structure

Majors and other studies

Students must complete a major in one of the following disciplines taught by the faculty: accounting, e-business, economics, human resource management, management, marketing, marketing communication, public relations or tourism. All units taken as part of the major are limited to units taught by departments of the faculty on the campus delivering this program.
Other studies may be drawn from any of the disciplines taught on the Berwick campus by the Faculty of Business and Economics. These other studies can form a sub-major in one of the following areas: professional accounting, management, travel and tourism, public relations, marketing and marketing communication. They can also, in some cases, form a second major in a business discipline.
Students must also complete a major specialisation in multimedia systems from the Faculty of Information Technology.

Course requirements

The degree requirements are:
(a) Students must complete 18 units (108 credit points) from the Faculty of Business and Economics as follows:
(i) Six compulsory units (36 credit points):

(ii) A major of at least eight units (48 credit points) in a discipline from the faculty with at least two units (12 credit points) at each of second and third-year levels.
(iii) A maximum of eight first-year-level units (48 credit points).
(iv) A minimum of four units (24 credit points) at third-year level from those offered by the campus delivering this program.
(b) Students must complete 18 units (108 credit points) from the Faculty of Information Technology as follows:
(i) Seven multimedia core units (42 points):

(ii) Four second-year multimedia core units and one e-business unit (30 credit points):

(c) Four third-year multimedia core units and two e-business units (36 credit points):
