Stage 2

Core units

Most of the level 2 units from the BE(Mech) program are taken during stages 2 and 3 of the double degree. The order in which they should be taken is determined by prerequisite requirements and the opportunities presented by the timetables at Clayton and Caulfield. The lists below are recommendations, but students should adjust the programs for stages 2 and 3 to suit their own needs.

* See the Art and Design section for full details of design units. Students should note that prerequisites for these units will consist of a combination of engineering and design units. Contact your course adviser for further details before completing your enrolment in design units.

Requirements for the double degree
The student requires a total of 241 credit points, of which not less than 157 credit points must be obtained in units prescribed by this course list which are also listed for the course in mechanical engineering in course list I. Students must also take 84 credit points from the approved component of the art and design program.
