Synopsis: Topics covered include the Internet as a communication medium; web design; computer-aided visuals; technical communication; theories of communication; group process; interpersonal communication; collaborative writing; introductory web design; technical writing (manuals, reports); software tools; interview skills; oral and visual techniques of persuasion.

Assessment: Assignments 70% and Pracs 30%

Contact Hours: One 2-hour workshop, and two hours of combined practical and tutorial work per week
