Master of Applied Economics*


General information

The course has been designed for graduates seeking to extend, deepen and upgrade their knowledge of economics, finance and econometrics in order to apply that to the workplace. Specialisations are offered in the areas of Asian and international economics, finance, health economics, and econometrics. Course intake is available in semester one and semester two.

This is a fee-paying course. Candidates should consult the Department of Economics as to the 2001 course fee. Course fees are set and reviewed annually and are therefore subject to change.

Course structure

The course consists of eight subjects.

Two compulsory core subjects
Two subjects from one of the following specialisations
Asian/international economics
Finance

** THIS IS A COMPULSORY CORE SUBJECT FOR THOSE WISHING TO PROCEED TO THE FINANCE SUBJECTS AT THE 5000 LEVEL

Health economics
Econometrics
Four 5000-level subjects

Three subjects from the following:
