Objectives As for GSC2203 with the additional objective of developing a child-centred theoretical perspective.

Synopsis As for GSC2203.

Assessment Assignment (1800 words): 30% - Seminar presentation or group project (equivalent to 1800 words): 30% - Theoretical essay (2400 words): 40% - Gender studies students topics for all assignments will include a focus on gender issues - For the theoretical essay students doing this subject a third-year level must build on sociological theories to develop a child-centred perspective.
