Description

Economics considers how to allocate scarce resources to maximise people's welfare. Microeconomics examines decisions of individuals, business and government, and the structure of industries and markets. Macroeconomics examines behaviour of the economy as a whole, such as economic growth, inflation and unemployment.

Units

To complete the Economics major in the Bachelor of Business, students must complete:

(a.) The following six units:

ECF1200 Macroeconomics
ECF2331 Macroeconomics and monetary policy
ECF2731 Managerial economics
ECF3121 Economics of international trade
ECX3900 Business, competition and regulation

(b.) two units from the following list:

ECF2450 Sports economics
ECF2721 Trade finance and foreign exchange
ECF3120 Consumer economics
ECX2550/ECX3550 Business in Asia
ETF2700 Mathematics for business
