Course description

The Graduate Certificate in Pharmacy Management is designed to equip course participants with the management skills necessary to meet the challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry and the pharmacy profession in a highly competitive environment.

Developed in partnership with the Faculty of Business and Economics, this course provides participants with the flexibility to exit with a graduate certificate or continue on a pathway to a Graduate Diploma in Pharmacy Management or Master of Business Administration (MBA). Course objectives

To provide an introductory coverage of the key pharmacy management skills, providing a foundation for further management studies.

Credit for prior studies

Credit is assessed by the Faculty for previous learning that is considered equivalent to a Monash University study. Credit transfer may be granted for previous learning in a University or TAFE course, or accredited course offered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or overseas equivalents of these. Applicants intending to seek credit for the MBA program are strongly advised to review the MBA credits policy.

Course requirements

Participants complete four 6 point units, including a minimum of three professional track units.

All professional track units are by off-campus learning mode. They can be taken as single non-award units with transferable credit points for future award studies.

    * Off-campus units available to Pharmacy Management Program participants as substitutes to core MBA units (MBA9004 and MBA9006).

Assessment is by assignment.
