Course description

This course, offered by the School of Rural Health, is designed to enable graduates to provide high-quality health care specifically oriented to the health needs of rural communities; to develop and extend the knowledge, skills and attitudes of rural health care professionals; and to prepare health practitioners to live and work in rural communities.

Course objectives

On completion of this course graduates will: 1. be well equipped to provide high quality health care specifically oriented to the health needs of rural communities; 2. have developed and extend their knowledge, skills and attitudes in relation to the rural health care profession; and 3. be prepared to live and work in rural communities.

Course structure

The course consists of four 6-point core units and a further 24 points of elective units.

NUR9208 Therapeutic medication management

Assessment

Assessment includes written assignments and papers, projects, student journals, literature review, online discussion groups and formal assessment.
