The Postgraduate Certificate of Education (Music Education) is designed to provide teachers with an understanding of a range of issues and of research relating to music education.
To be eligible for admission to the course, applicants must hold either an approved three-year bachelors degree and an approved fourth year of study, or an approved four-year bachelors degree, or have qualifications or experience considered by the faculty board to be equivalent to, or a satisfactory substitute for, the above awards.
The course consists of 24 credit points of study. Students will complete two 12-point units chosen from the following list:

Candidates who successfully complete the Postgraduate Certificate of Education (Music Education) may complete a postgraduate diploma or a masters degree by undertaking a further two or four units respectively.
The Postgraduate Certificate of Education (Music Education) requires a minimum of at least two semesters of part-time study and no more than two years to complete. Each of the units is one semester in length. The expected number of hours per week for a part-time student is 24.
