PRM1411Printmedia practice and theory 1A (6 points)(A&D) Leader: To be advised
Offered: Synopsis: An introduction to techniques including, but not limited to, the range of printmaking media, used as artistic tools. Contemporary visual culture is the context for this introduction. The methods and materials specific to the printmaking studio, including etching, relief, collagraph and silkscreen, will be demonstrated and practiced. Set projects will link these skills with the challenge to consider questions of relevance to current art practice. Assessment: Folio 100% including a mid-semester assessment of at least 20% of the final mark. Contact Hours: 6 points + 12 hours comprising 6 studio hours and 6 independent study hours per week + First semester, Caulfield + Prerequisites: enrolment in the degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Visual Arts + Corequisites: PRM1431 and OHS1000 + Prohibited combinations: FNA1501 and FNA1503. Prerequisites: Enrolment in the degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Visual Arts. |
