MKF3521International study program in marketing (6 points)(BUS) Leader: Sandra Luxton and Michael Morrison
Offered: Synopsis: This unit is offered to students who have completed eight six point units of which two must be from the field of Marketing. This unit comprises the coursework component of the International Study Program. The program is designed to expose students to the thinking of some of the world's leading marketers. Students are expected to understand the critical factors associated with marketing in and international arena such as culture, marketing communication, branding, sponsorship, globalisation, research, e-marketing, customer services and retailing. Students enrolling in this unit must meet the cost of their own travel. Assessment: 3000 word research proposal: 20% Company profile: 10% Participation: 10% Examination: 60% Contact Hours: 156 hours, 39 contact hours (5-day block) 117 private study, face to face contact, preparation and participation in company visits Prerequisites: Must have passed 8 units, including at least 2 units from the Department of Marketing Corequisites: MKF3001 |
