Synopsis: Mass and energy balance for steady state operations of process plant and equipment involving phase change, reaction, recycle and purge. Mass and energy balance computation procedures. Use of process simulation package to solve simple mass and energy balances.

Assessment: Examination: 60% + Tests: 40%

Contact Hours: 2 lectures and 2 tutorials per week

Prerequisites: ENG1101
