Synopsis: Introduction to chemical processes for the provision of products and services necessary for maintaining a high standard of living. A systematic approach to problem solution. Applications of process flowsheets for problem solution and model development. Use of mass and energy balances to solve process problems. How the tools developed in this unit can be applied to the design of process equipment.

Assessment: Final examination (2 hours): 60% + Tests: 40%
