Offered: Synopsis: The unit provides an introduction to the study of human behaviour, covering aspects such as brain structure and function, sensation, perception, consciousness and its many states, learning and conditioning, memory, cognition, motivation, emotion, stress and coping. Assessment: Laboratory report (1300 words): 25% + Tutorial presentation or online assignment (equivalent of 1200 words): 35% + Examination (2 hours): 40% Contact Hours: 3 hours per week (2 hr lecture, 1 hr tutorial) Prohibitions: APY1910, BHS1320, GSC1306, GSC1711, PSY1011, WEL1320 |
