Metals and jewellery practice and theory 2 (6 points)

Synopsis: This unit extends the theoretical framework commenced in first semester major studio, and complements students' understanding of working in a metals studio. It introduces students to traditional and contemporary materials and technologies in the many associated disciplines and industries which are applicable and appropriate to the production of contemporary jewellery and metalsmithing.

Assessment: Folio: 80% Assigned projects: 20%

Contact Hours: 6 hours studio and 6 hours study and practice per week
