FNA1000Corequisite studio (6 points)(A&D) Leader:
Offered: Synopsis: This unit considers working processes and procedures, types of materials used and their level of toxicity, the studio environment, the use of protective apparatus, appropriate dress, the safe use of machinery and equipment which are part of studio practice. Students receive training in the safe operation of machines necessary for use in their major study, and learn how to apply safety principles. Assessment: Mid-semester Assessment + OHSE test: 20% Folio presentation and assessment of OHSE principles in studio practice: 80% Contact Hours: 4 hours studio and 8 hours study and practice per week, plus attendance at the OHS1000 short course Prerequisites: admission to BFA or BVA Corequisites: N/A Prohibitions: N/A |
